Discount Tire No. 6 Ford Fusion Gets New Look at Charlotte
Scottsdale, Ariz. (PRWEB) October 13, 2007 -- NASCAR Busch Series Driver David Ragan and the No. 6 Discount Tire Ford Fusion team will have a different look this weekend in Charlotte, N.C. The team will use a reverse paint scheme on the No. 6 Ford Fusion. The car's primary color will be black with indigo orange and white. Discount Tire dedicated the special paint scheme to the entire team because of their hard work and dedication to the 2007 season.
The idea for the new look came from members of the Discount Tire crew and holds special meaning for everyone in the Discount Tire family.
"The last three weeks have been pretty rough," said Brett Ragan, pit support specialist on the team. "We need something to give us a fresh outlook and this new paint scheme is just what the doctor ordered."
"It's going to look really good under the lights," said car chief Heath Landis. "I feel like it should be on every car from here on out. That's the 2008 paint scheme in my opinion."
"We never leave the shop without thinking we have a legitimate chance to win," said crew chief Mike Kelley. If this new look gives us some extra luck this weekend I'm all for it."
This is the first time Discount Tire has ever run a reverse paint scheme in the four years the company has been in the sport.
